"If you feel bad, dance!"
I want to share one of my precious experience, and it's about dancing.
The very first time I joined a dance team when I was on kindergarten. I dance with that kind of children's dance moves with a tambourine on their hand and wore a cutie dress (lol). That was kinda fun. Then, when I was at grade 6 on elementary school, with my best friends, who called ourself ADVEEN. We made our dance moves by ourself, then performed on graduation day in front of all 6 grade students and teachers. That was really precious experience for me! On the junior high school, I also dance for represented my class on a battle dance. With my new classmates, we made our dance moves and performed it in front of all students and teachers in school. Even we were lost, but we still happy for that first fun experience with our classmates, because the competition held at the time when we were just together for 2 weeks.
Then, I hadn't done any dance performance again until I graduated from junior high school. Okay, after the long hybernation (?), I dance again when I was on the grade 10. With my team, Jiyousei Shinkou, we prepared like 5 months for perform on St. Angela's Day in our school. Everybody was noticed us because of our jabbawockeez mask! Haha what a funny way. Then, there was an open audition for our school dance crew for DBL (Development Basketball League) 2012. I took it and then I failed. I felt so bad, I cried for an hour, and the worst thing I had done was I started to kept away from my friends who passed the audition.
I felt dissapointed of myself and then I decided to stop dancing until I got the feel again. When they (the DBL dance team) got 1st place on Solo Series and 2nd place on Central Java Series South Region, I felt happy because they had made it. And now, when I'm on 11 grade, I miss dance so much, but my body was to rigid to start dancing again. Then, my friend-who lead the previous team (Jiyousei Shinkou) asked me to join his team again with the new formation. There were 10 people, included me. Oh my... hahaha I thought that it was to much. But, after practiced and gathered together, we became closer each other. Oh, we even called ourself Master Mix wohooo~! There was an explaination about the name we got. So, Master means a person who can do everything, they are skilled and super (?). Then Mix means we were in different grades, from grades 1 until 3, so it's mixed. Master Mix means we are a master that could mix anything like sex, age, grades, the genre of dance, concept, etc. Then, we performed on St. Angela's Day and graduation night in our school.
Ah, there was more. One day, our school dance coach (lol, I think I shouldn't call him with this kind of name, but....he...was) told us that soon he would held an open audition for Sritex Cup dance competition. I joined and passed it. Yeay! So that was the first time I became one team with the great one/ two/ three/ four....... (._.) okay. Than we earned 2nd place for the competition. After that, while I was busy practicing with Master Mix, our school dance coach held a closed audition for choosing who could passed the big 12 to joining DBL 2013. I recommended to take it and then I passed. What a dream came true. I remembered back when I failed last year and that I felt so dissapointed, and then I can face all of it and go back to fight again.
There were so much incidents among us, one of it that my classmate-who was good at dancing-couldn't have joined because of her age wasn't fulfilled the criteria. We were faced and passed one-by-one together and then we reached the big 10, but suddenly we lost at that position too. We felt so bad and we started to cry (esp. the girls, except me, okay), we felt guilty and dissapointed with the judges choice. Meanwhile on the next day, when our emotion still on the edge, the crew called and asked us to be their guest star on the DBL final party. First, we gathered and discussed about it, then the final choice, we agreed. With our supporter's screams and claps, we're enjoyed our performance and gave our best to the audience. Now, I started to enjoying dance with joining some competition with school dance team and flash mob-ing with some team on different schools.
Don't give up, even though we knew that we wanted something that was difficult to achieve.
Keep fight, even though people around you trying to get rid of you.
